From a Small Village to Aligarh Muslim University – My Journey of Dreams and Determination!
Hey there! Welcome to my blog, where I share my journey of learning, growing, and striving for success. I’m just like many of you – someone with big dreams and a heart full of determination. But my story starts in a small village in Bihar, far from the city lights, where opportunities were scarce, and dreams often felt out of reach. Today, I’m studying at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), one of India’s most prestigious institutions, and I want to take you along on this incredible journey. Let’s dive in!
I grew up in a tiny village in Bihar, where life was simple but not easy. My father is a small farmer, and my family’s income was modest. Like many kids in rural India, I attended a local school with limited resources. But even in those small classrooms, I dreamed of something bigger. My parents, especially my father, always told me, “Padhoge likhoge banoge nawab, kheloge kudoge banoge kharab” (If you study, you’ll achieve greatness; if you play, you’ll ruin yourself). It was their way of saying that education was my ticket to a better life.
Turning Point: AMU Entrance Exam-
After completing my 10th from the Bihar Board, I knew I wanted more. I had heard about Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and its reputation for excellence. The idea of studying there became my dream. But let’s be honest – preparing for the AMU entrance exam wasn’t easy. I didn’t have access to fancy coaching classes or expensive books. I relied on borrowed materials, online resources, and sheer determination.
When I finally received the news that I had qualified for admission, it was one of the happiest moments of my life. My family was overjoyed, and I felt like I was one step closer to my dreams.
Have you ever prepared for a competitive exam? What was your experience like? Did you face any challenges? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
Life at AMU: A World of Opportunities
Moving from a small village to the bustling campus of AMU was a huge change. The university opened up a world of opportunities for me, but it also came with its own set of challenges. The academic environment was rigorous, and I had to learn to manage my time effectively. But the diversity of the campus, the friendships I formed, and the exposure to new ideas made it all worth it.
I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and will graduate in 2026. Choosing commerce was a natural fit for me because I’ve always been fascinated by the world of business and finance. Plus, it opens up a wide range of career opportunities, from accounting and finance to entrepreneurship and management.
Lessons Learned: Resilience, Gratitude, and the Power of Dreams
Looking back, my journey has taught me so much. Here are a few key lessons I’ve learned along the way:
1. Dream Big, Work Hard: No dream is too big if you’re willing to put in the effort. It’s not about where you start but where you’re willing to go.
2. Resilience is Key: There will be challenges, but resilience and determination can help you overcome them.
3. Gratitude Matters: I’m incredibly grateful for my family, teachers, and friends who have supported me every step of the way.
As I continue my journey at AMU, I’m excited about what the future holds. My goal is to build a successful career in commerce and give back to my community by creating opportunities for others. I want to inspire students from rural areas to dream big and believe in themselves.
